This page shows Abel offering his sacrifice to the Lord. Abel’s sacrifice was from the best of what he had. He offered the first and best things to the Lord to show his love of God. In doing this, Abel gives us a good example of sacrifice. We should follow the example of Abel’s sacrifice by offering the best of what we have, instead of just what is left over. In this way, our sacrifices will show God that we love Him and also how important He is to us.

“Abel also offered of the firstlings of his flock, and of their fat: and the Lord had respect to Abel, and to his offerings.”  Genesis 4:4
