
General Overview
Life is Worth Livingis a collection of transcribed telecasts, originally given by Bishop Fulton Sheen in the 1950’s. Sheen saw in television a great opportunity to provide the American public with something lacking in current programming: “a reasoned presentation of a serious idea, to fill up the void of hearts and the yearning of minds for a pattern and a way of life.” The resulting lectures addressed issues raised by recent scientific, psychological, and political developments, as well as problems common to men of every generation.
